Phenix City, AL (7/2/17) -- Hometown racer Richie Stephens piloting his "K&J Trucking, LoveStuffOnline.com, Knotts Towing" sponsored racecar took home the $600 payday for Round # 3 of the UCRA Sportsman 12-Race Mini Series for East Alabama Motor Speedway Sunday in the "Salute to America Nationals" event. Stephens set off the fireworks early when he "pulled through the pit gate" despite the 24 other competitors entered. Austin Scarborough was second with Jim Rogers third.

Fast Qualifier (16:987) Dustin Diem's excellent time wasn't backed up and the quickest finished a dismal 24th.

The only points challenger from the first two events at Fort Payne Motor Speedway is the current UCRA Sportsman points leader Jesse Hughes of Collinsville, AL who finished 13th. Next Saturday (July 8th) EAMS returns with Round # 4 of the UCRA 602/Sportsman 12-Race Mini Series, again paying $600 to-Win.
