August 31, 2019 -Jason Welshan Dominates UCRA Blue Ridge Labor Day 50
1Blue Ridge, GA (8/31/2019) --- The United Championship Racing Alliance - UCRA kicked off it’s Labor Day weekend with a debut event at Blue Ridge (GA) Motorsports Park, Saturday night, hosting twenty-one (21) of the best 604/Crate Late Model racers of the South, with five (5) states representing the action at the 1/3 mile clay oval in the gorgeous mountains of the National Forest lands. Jason Welshan of Maryville, Tennessee set the standard after local Blairesville, Georgian Brian Kinnersley set the stage in qualifying clocking a 15:518 to earn the $300 “Jacky Jones Chevrolet / Stewart Farms” sponsored segment. Kinnersley would be beaten by outside polesitter Seth Wimpey of Blue Ridge in the first of three (3) heat races, a feet that was repeated in each heat race by the outside polesitter in the other two contests. Welshan winning heat two earned him that fabeled “Cat-Birds Seat” position for the feature and that’s all the “Dirty-Bird” Trans AM’d Jerry Hux Warrior racecar racer needed, as the # 01 “Competition Racing Equipment” Jay Dickens powered machine dominated all 50 laps of the $3,000 to-win affair. The battle for second waged on behind Welshan as Kinnersley and Jordy Nipper of Gray, GA battled lap after lap swapping the runner up nod multiple times. Jason Deal of nearby Copperhill, TN had his hands full of UCRA regular Michael Cortney whom salvaged the only series Top 5 of the event for the touring regulars. At the drivers meeting the series announced the cancellation of the October 12th UCRA event for BRMP, with hopes to reschedule the Round # 9 race to another date. >>READ MORE

August 24, 2019 - Sam Seawright Inherits UCRA Triumph at Fort Payne
1Fort Payne, AL (8/24/2019) --- Despite threatening sky's all day and all night Saturday, fans of Fort Payne (AL) Motor Speedway were treated to a good ole fashion "JR Slobberknocker" in the United Championship Racing Alliance - UCRA Main Event as hometown 15yo., Sam Seawright parked his #16 "Agcor Steel, Farm System Inc--, J&R Lumber, JSR Racing, The Pickin Post, Finish Line Graphics, Oliver Race Engines" sponsored racecer in Victory Lane, winning the night's $2,500 prize. Mighty Auto Parts/Red Line Oil Products were on-hand at FPMS  Saturday and fans were greeted with door-prizes prior to the nights action. Seawright's new "Black Diamond" Ronnie Stuckey Enterprises, was ready for the "Dynamite Kid" to debut, but it was the reigning/defending UCRA Champion Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland, Tennessee proved to be the man to beat. This years, "the Mohawk Warrior" racer has decided to only come to certain series events and racing locally at FPMS and his dominance is starting to show through. >>READ MORE

August 10, 2019 - Michael Courtney Returns to UCRA Victory Lane
1Tazewell, Tennessee (8/10/19) --- A week and $3,000 later... Michael Courtney of Knoxville TN claimed the 40 lap Main Event Saturday night becoming first back to back repeat UCRA winner in over two years. The Gary Hall promoted event drew fourteen (14) 604/Crate competitors, as a wild finish concluded with Brandon Williams taking the checkered flag. Unfortunately for Williams and runner up Heath Hindman of Signal Mtn, TN both were disqualified after a post race fuel inspection on-site by UCRA officials.

Courtney's #C11 "Hitt Exotic Car Rentals, Harrison, Jim Monroe Garage, Big Mamma's Concrete, Martel Signs, B&M Concrete" sponsored Scott Romines team, was elevated to winner from their third place run and with this victory  rallies back to within 7 points of current UCRA points leader Jesse Lowe, whom finished third again Saturday. Series regular Kenny Kizzar of Graysville Mtn, TN finished a UCRA career high second ahead of Lowe with Ryan Carey and the "Alabama Hammer" Rod Carroll rounding out the top five. >>READ MORE

August 3, 2019 - Larry Kyle Memorial Winner's Cash Goes to Michael Courtney
1Sweetwater TN (8/3/19) ---  Michael Courtney of Knoxville TN swept the 3rd annual Larry Kyle Memorial race Saturday night at I-75 Raceway, claiming the $2,500 prize of the 40 lap Main Event. The Tim & Angie Kyle family event drew sixteen (16) 604/Crate competitors, but it was an all Courtney affair as nephew and uncle were the "Front Row Joe's". "Kidd-QuiK" Kyle Courtney flanked Michael's #C11 "Hitt Exotic Car Rentals, Harrison, Jim Monroe Garage, Big Mamma's Concrete, Martel Signs, B&M Concrete" sponsored Scott Romines backed team. Courtney rallies back to within 10 points of current UCRA points leader Jesse Lowe whom finished third Saturday and was the defending race winner. Matt Henderson and Jason Cardwell rounded out the top five. 

The series travels to Tazewell (TN) Speedway next Saturday for a 50 lap, $3,000 to WIN showdown. >>READ MORE
