Stephens Locks UCRA 602 Sportsman Championship @ EAMS Round #10 Depsite Nowell Victory

Phenix City, AL (8/26/17) The “Rocketman” Richie Stephens in his "K&J Trucking, LoveStuffOnline.com, Knotts Towing & Recovery" sponsored racecar of Phenix City, Alabama didn’t’ win Friday nights “Monster Truck Madness” United Crate Racing Alliance - UCRA 602/Sportsman feature at East Alabama Motor Speedway, but his 7th overall Top 5 finish behind winner Terrance Nowell captured himself the points championship of the overall $3,000 twelve race mini series between EAMS and Fort Payne Motor Speedway. Nowell of Phenix City drove (# 111) to victory Friday over Stephens, Josh Cox, Richie Grantham and Dustin Ducker respectfully Stephens set fast time Friday against seven other entrants. The battle for runner up to Stephens Championship is still up in the air between Jason Price and Jesse Hughes of which neither were in competition recently.

The next UCRA 602/Sportsman Mini Series event is slated for Sunday Labor Day Weekend at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Sept 3rd) with 25 lap, $600 to-Win Main Event. Fort Payne Motor Speedway has elected to run their 2017 season finale with the 602/Sportman Round # 12 race highlighting Saturday (Sept 9th) along with all regular classes.
