STEPHENS THE SHERIFF OF UCRA 602/SPORTSMAN AT EAMS 2 WEEKS RUNNING
Phenix City, AL (7/8/17) -- For the second consecutive weekend Richie Stephens of Phenix City, Alabama piloted his "K&J Trucking, LoveStuffOnline.com, Knotts Towing & Recovery" sponsored racecar to a $600 payday for Round # 4 of the UCRA Sportsman 12-Race Mini Series for East Alabama Motor Speedway Saturday at East Alabama Motor Speedway. Stephens set second fast time of the 13 entrants. Jason Price had his best run of the year in his Sportsman car finishing second. Cord Dodgen in a car typically driven by Marc Gooden ran third . Josh Cox from the pole appeared to be an obvious 2nd place runner early, but made a couple of mistakes and had to battle to finish 4th, while points leader Jessie Hughes of Crossville, AL (two hours North of EAMS) recovered from a poor qualifying effort to salvage a Top 5 run. Round # 5 is coming up this weekend at EAMS during the Jimmy Thomas $1,000 to-Win Tribute Race July 15th.
Round # 6 & 7 of the UCRA 602/Sportsman 12-Race Mini Series, will be Saturday July 29th at Fort Payne (AL) Motor Speedway. Two feature will top the weekend again paying $600 to-Win each.
