Hughes Leads Latest UCRA Standings; Crossville Up Next

Fort Payne, AL 5/8/23... Jessie Hughes of Crossville, AL still leads, the United Championship Racing Alliance - UCRA Points standings, after the first three races of the 2023 season. The Red Line Synthetic Oil sponsored series pays $7500 to the champion as long as all criteria's are met at the end of the season. Kasey Hall is tied for second with Matt Shannon of the Delano, TN who currently has two victories already this season. Shannon missed the first event of 2023, which was won by Marty Lunsford of Newnan, GA.

Lunsford missed the second race up in Tazewell, TN but still sits firmly in fourth place one point behind Hall and Shannon. Two time and defending UCRA champion Kenny Kizzar of Sale Creek, TN is currently tied for fifth in points with Sam Seawright of nearby Rainsville, AL. Seawright who competes in Super Late Model action isn't expected to chase UCRA points.

This Saturday, May 13th, the UCRA series heads to Crossville (TN) Speedway in the Cumberland Plateau for another 40 lap, $3000 to win feature, weather permitting.

This will be the 2023 season opener for the track, which has moved from its staple of Friday events to Saturdays. More details will be released Wednesday evening (5/10), followed by daily updates.
