UCRA Ready for the Second Ann. Clanton Clash
Clanton, AL (5/22/23) --- The 2nd annual "Clanton Clash" at Billy Wilkins Buckshot Speedway in Clanton, Alabama is this Saturday night, May 27th with theUnited Championship Racing Alliance - UCRA topping the nights card with the 604/Crate Late Models, presented by Red Line Synthetic Oil. The track locatedoff I-65 between Birmingham and Montgomery is a new 3/8's mile dirt oval, and is home to many racers in the central Alabama area. Saturday's race pays $2500 to win the 40 lap feature. Local hot shoes such as; Kyle Smith and Lance Price are expected along with former UCRA alumni "Hot Rod" Carroll (#r44) and Mike Combs. As for current UC,RA regulars, points leader Jesse, Hughes of Crossville, AL has a 10 point advantage over fella Alabama racer Kasey Hall of Geraldine and two time race winner already in 2023, (including the recent Legendary Marvin Ford Classic) Matt, Shannon of Delano, Tennessee. Georgian Marty Lunsford, winner of this year's Bama Brawl is currently 4th in points just a head of the current raining and defending UCRA champion Kenny Kizzar of Sale Creek , TN and Sam Seawright of Rainsville, AL. Last year's event winner Cruz Skinner of Anniston, AL dominated the inaugural Clanton Clash.
