Cody Haskins Tops 6th Ann. UCRA Bama Brawl
FOR PAYNE, Ala. (02/24/24) - The 6th annual "Bama Brawl" was a fierce battle from start to finish as 19 entrants from Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee entered the competition. UCRA kicked off with race #1 of the 2024 season presented by Casteel Farms. Pole sitter Hayden Cardwell of Knoxville, TN had things under control early, until mechanical issues on lap 15 forced him into the pit area. Cody Haskins inherited the lead and never looked back cruising to a whopping 4 second lead over second place finisher Cruz Skinner of Oxford, Al. 2023 UCRA Championship runner up / Rookie of the Year, Matt Shannon ,Tucker Anderson , and defending UCRA Champion Kasey Hall rounded out the top 5. Fort Payne Motor Speedway’s next event is Saturday night, April 6th for the 2nd Annual Autism Awareness Race. Money raised during the race will go to Autism Awareness. The UCRA's second race of the season is scheduled for Tazewell Speedway’s Season Opener Saturday, March 16th at Tazewell Speedway north of Knoxville near the TN./KY. state line.
